Easter Brunch Weekend

Mothers Day Garden & Tea Open House

A Guided Pollinator Walk during King Bloom

Find us on Facebook! Join us during one of the most beautiful times of year in an apple orchard during the king bloom when all of the trees are blossoming. During this afternoon walk, we will hear from local ecologist Deb Perkins about native pollinators and their habitat as we take a walk along the apple trees and forest. $10 donation per participant the day of the event helping us bring this wonderful educational event to Poland Maine. Rain date: Sunday, May 19th. Bring your favorite mug as we will and our one hour walk with afternoon tea and a spoonful of honey from a local beekeeper. Bring a yoga mat or a blanket - upon completion of the walk about we invite you to take a pause in the day. Sit in the orchard and take in the sounds and or sights of the native bees that are actively pollinating the orchard. As an active part of farm life, we make sure to take such moments and appreciate all that mother nature offers to the earth. Join us, actively listening and observing the amazing harmony of bees and the fruit trees. Deb is a wildlife ecologist with 25 years of experience and a lifelong commitment to wildlife conservation. She has an extensive background in wildlife research and habitat planning and enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for all things as an educator and consultant. We are so happy to have her lead this wonderful walk. ASL interpreter available - please let Stacey know!

Community Potluck Pig Roast

Old Crow Ranch will host a Family Style Potluck Pig Roast on Saturday, July 7th from 5-9 pm. This is a VERY family friendly gathering to eat good food and enjoy the summer together. Tickets are $15/per person and bring a side dish to share, kids 12 and under are free. Please,one potluck offering of 4-6 servings per family of whatever you choose.

This year Nezinscot Farm has partnered with our COOP, Organic Valley, to bring our visitors an educational farm visit that they will never forget!

Summer Herbal Walk & Identification - With Arthur Haines

Nezinscot's herbal day is an opportunity to learn about herbs, shrubs, and trees; both cultivated and wild that are readily available in our backyards and gardens. How and what to harvest as well as their uses in everyday medicine and food. Join Gloria Varney, Arthur Haines and a handful of other artisans as they walk you through their fields, gardens, and woods while sharing their knowledge and love for the landscape. From there, participants will have an opportunity through hands-on workshops to prepare food and medicine with the gatherings. From infused oils to tinctures, electuaries, and teas.
