Central Maine Team Penning Association (CMTPA) was established on November 26, 1995, by a group of equestrians dedicated to increasing the popularity of this challenging and fast-growing sport.

Adult Farm Camp

August 18 through August 19 , Albion ME
Why should kids have all the fun?? During this 2 day workshop we'll tour our organic farm while focusing on pizza, garden exploration, cooking, play with sheep, journal and just have some plain fun. Plan on getting into the thick of farming. Try your hands at making garden fresh vegetable dips and herbal teas. Explore cheese making and cooking homemade pizza in our wood fired oven. Interested in farm chores? How about bottle feeding a new born calf or gathering eggs from the chicken coop for our morning breakfast. On day two, we'll start our day with morning yoga by the pond or an early morning farm walk. Then after a hardy brunch, it's off to explore our flock (sheep) and try our hands at felting. Our weekend comes to an end with a closing circle to reflecti on our weekend and the friends we have made. For accommodations plan on pitching a tent or staying at a local B&B. They'll provide three days of informative, hands-on instruction in traditional slaughter, butchering and processing, while Sean Emmons regales your senses with all manner of porky preparations from the kitchen.

Weaving & Fiber Arts Weekend

Join us for a weekend of fiber- filled fun, enjoy the company of fellow fiber enthusiasts in the picturesque town of Turner, ME. You will learn the art of weaving from start to finish; leaving with a piece that you have created. There will also be time to try your hands at other fiber related arts such as spinning, dyeing, wet and needle felting, crocheting and knitting. Participants can also take a hike around the farm grounds, along the river, or just relax on the expansive front porch, overlooking the river and rolling pastures.
