Micmac Farms of Caribou celebrates Maine agriculture during 'Open Farm Day'! This free event boasts tours of our brook trout aquaculture facility, orchard, and produce fields! Folks will go crazy over the sample of our trout and have the opportunity to learn about the many projects happening at the farm such as our wind turbine, brook trout conservation efforts, native pollinator habitat, weather monitoring, and more!
You won't want to miss our famous lady's skillet throw & men's hay bail toss! Kids can get in on the fun with lawn games and races for prizes! Live musical guests will have your toes tapping as you enjoy a great family day at the farm!
Up to 20 farms from across the Crown of Maine will be onsite with their many products ranging from beef, lamb, pork, potatoes, produce, herbs, teas, & so much more! This market of vendors are happy to take part in the day and proud to make their goods and services available to you. Please consider shopping local for this summers barbecue and family dinners.

Open Farm Day is a choose-your-own-adventure with education for all ages. Visitors meet the people of Maine agriculture–Maine's farmers and the businesses who support them. Many farms have demonstrations, displays, farm-raised products for sale and animals and crops to experience. Activities include barn and field tours, milking, hay rides, nature trails, beautiful scenery, and samples for tasting and refreshments.
