Cannons at Noon Family Sheep Farm, LLC is a family farm focused on sustainable organic agriculture. Jean and Bill Noon started the sheep farm in 1971, and have practiced environmentally sound, organic farming methods since then, selling lamb meat at various Maine fairs and festivals. We have integrated an organic crops operation onto their land and sell organic produce, cut flowers, sheep's milk cheese, maple syrup, and non-organic eggs at farmers markets and local restaurants. We are moving through our third season as business owners and continue to grow and expand our operation.

The Cannons have vegetables, herbs and Flowers on about 3.5 acres at the Noon Farm The Noon Farm has~75-80 acres that was purchased in 1974 and we lease an additional 30 acres of hay land. We have about 8.5 acres of pasture, and about 15 acres of our own hay land that we rotate the sheep onto after haying. Our fencing is mostly electric, permanent and portable. The sheep harvest most of the second and third crop of hay directly. The balance of our farm is in managed forest and wetland. Some of the 30 acres of hay leased from neighbors is sold in the field to support machinery, labor, and operating costs. We winter around 60 ewes and 25 ewe lambs, and expect around 90 lambs in the early spring
