| Location | Sumner: 106 Black Mountain Road. From Route 26 go east on Route 219 approximately 7 miles. Turn left at Chizzler's Store. Less than 2 miles the road turns left, then bear left after 1/4 mile onto Black Mountain Road. Farm is 1 mile on the left. From Route 4 in Turner turn west onto 117 to Buckfield (9 miles). Turn right after Tilton's Store, cross bridge and right onto Route 140. North on 140 - 5 miles to "T". Turn left on Route 219. Go 5 miles to Chizzler's Store. Turn right and follow directions above. |

| Description of Activities | This is a 30-acre farm with 15 sheep and 4 angora goats for mill spun, hand dyed and natural colored yarn. Our Belgian draft horse harvests firewood and hauls sap for maple sugaring. Our sheep and poultry are rotationally grazed to improve pasture. Tours will include discussion of our traditional joinery frame barn (built in 2004), growing towards sustainability using organic methods and a woods walk. The farm store will be open. Demonstration: plant dyeing wool. |
