About Gardiner Farms

We began farming again in 2010 and now plant over 4 acres of vegetables and berries. We also have maple syrup and honey for sale both of which are produced here on the farm. Last fall we added a 21' x 96' high tunnel which we will use for many of our tomatoes, green peppers, and cucumbers. We retail vegetables "off of the truck" one day/week, run our farm stand at the house 4 days/week plus we wholesale to local stores, Crown of Maine Organic Cooperative, and Good Shepherd Food Bank. Our vegetables are "biologically" grown-we use a wide variety of minerals, liquid fish, poultry manure, and soil amendments based on soil tests. We use very little synthetic fertilizer and try to keep pesticide usage low. We rotate our crops annually and use lots of cover crops and clover for a green manure.

Winter squash(over a dozen varieties!), summer squash, tomatoes, peppers, green/wax beans, peas, potatoes, beets, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, pumpkins, sweet corn, red raspberries, maple syrup, and honey.
