About Fixit Farm, Inc.

We are called Fixit Farm, a Earth Worm Farm in the Rangeley Lakes Region of Maine, creating quality Earth Worm Castings "Worm Poo", to be used as an Organic Fertilizer. Our product is approved Organic by Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association, for use in certified organic crop production. Our Farm is the home of Wanda Ferguson, Organic Gardener Guru and author of Mountain Gardening. She worked this land, and wrote for local newspapers about Organic Gardening for 40+ years, and at age 77 she then handed it down to her Daughter Leslie, and her husband Paul. We continue to grow veggie & herbs for sale, raise chickens, sell eggs and feed a host of wild animals that live in harmony on this Fixit Farm. We grow in the great outdoors as well as in Greenhouses. We raise Worms year round for composting, fertilizer and fish bait. We are all about working with Mother Nature, not against her. We respect the microbiotic life and soil food webs of our soils.

Products
Our Worm Castings are sold under our Trademark bags called "Fixit Soil" - Worm Castings "Poo", the name came about because Worm Castings which is full of Microbiotic life can help revive dead dirt. Our Worm Castings are sold in 30, 15 and 5 pound bags, or in bulk 2,000 pound sacks. See our website for retail locations, and we deliver the 2,000 pound sacks (free delivery within 100 miles of our Fixit Farm). We also sell our worm bait under out trademark cups "Got ME Bait". Our Veggie & Herbs & Eggs are sold locally, or through Farmer's Markets.

Features
The Family Farm land is on 60 acres and treated as a Family Compound, everyone having their home beyond a tree line. Fixit Farm rests on 16 acres of that, being used as housing for our animals, living quarters and plots of gardens and greenhouses. There is an agricultural pond which irrigates most of our gardens. The land has always been treated Organically. Wanda Ferguson, Original Farmer even threatened a large Power Company in the 1960's for spraying a line area nearby, for fear it would drift onto her Farm. The Fixit Farm land is in Sandy River Plantation which lies along Route #4 the Maine Scenic Byway leading into the Rangeley Lakes Region which is a four-season destination area attracting visitors who love the outdoors for fishing, camping, hiking, bicycling, boating, hunting, moosewatching, snowmobiling and skiing.
